Dog tags are the informal name for the identification tags worn by military personnel. Traditionally made of metal and worn on a chain around the neck, these tags have a long history in the armed forces. Over time, their design and the information they display have evolved, but their essential role has stayed the same: providing identification and vital medical details for service members.
This project introduces children to the significance of dog tags while encouraging them to get hands-on and creative with metal embossing techniques. It combines history, craft, and practical design in one engaging activity.
